Really Really REALLY close to Gold Star: "Say So" by Uh Huh Her. This is the band with Leisha Hailey of The L Word fame. She also is in some badass yogurt commercials hahah. But really, i love her and anything she touches (i wish i was in the second category....). Common Reaction is one of my newer favorite albums. I got into it over the summer, its great warm night driving music. This is my favorite song by them so far, i hope you like it too :)

Hidden Gem: "Red Light Fever" by Liz Phair. Im not an avid fan of hers, but i noticed these lines right away:

It reminds me of me quite a bit. Especially the "stuck inside your head" part. Ew, too emotional touchy feely introspective for the public eye. Moving on....
Dramy late afternoon nap song of the day: "A Bad Dream" by Keane. It really seems like the perfect song to drift off to a heavy sleep to doesnt it?
Has anyone seen my skinny jeans? award: "That's So You" by The Rocket Summer. This song is so grossly emo 10th grader but I LOVE IT ANYWAY. I mean, like, just listen to it. How stupidly adorable and generic right? The Rocket Summer is a band i can only listen to in small doses when im feeling love drunk.
Big Pimping song of the day: "Sunshine Superman" by Donovan. This track cracks me up, its so badass. I love the term "Sunshine superman." Its cool in a hippie kind of way. (what can i say, once a hippie always a hippie)
Gold Star: "The Same Boy You've Always Known" by The White Stripes. You know, i feel bad for any song that has to go up against the White Stripes or John Mayer for song of the day. They pretty much dont stand a chance. How can any song from today compare to this jam?. I mean really. Check out this lyric:

Jack White speaks to me in such an astounding way. A lot of his White Stripes stuff just gets me and then shouts it back at me so i can hear it as true. I love that.
