Coincidence award: "Bigger" by Justin Bieber. I was up early this morning and got a phone call. This song is my new ringtone (cuz im a 14 year old) and then it came on a minute later on this playlist. I love when that stuff happens. This one is also a classic "dance around at work wasting time when we are waiting for the clock to strike 10 on friday and saturday night" song.
Insomniac anthem of the day: "Trouble Sleeping" by The Perishers. This one is quiet and calm. It makes me sleepy. Imagine that haha. It has honest lyrics that many can relate to if you take the time to listen to it.

Embarrassing song of the day: "The Boys Are Back" by High School Musical 3. So i actually went to see this movie in theatres when it came out. My two roomies and i went and LOVED it. I had this song stuck in my head as we were leaving and started busting a move in the parking lot. I looked just like Chad and Troy. AKA Badass.
Rediscovered Gem: "C'mere" by Interpol. This was on an indie mix from mallo as "Track 6." Not helpful when iTunes searching. Now ill be able to listen to it more, which is great.
Gold Star: "Little Bird" by The White Stripes. Jack's electric guitar brings home the Gold for The White Stripes today. It is so EMOTIVE. i know i say this all the time about them, but really, listen to it and you will understand. I cant get the music out of my soul when i hear it. It pulls at me from a place that only The White Stripes and The Black Keys can reach (funny color reference coincidence there). It feels amazing to let them touch it (Thats what she said).
Feel the Earth song of the day: "Long, Long, Long" by The Beatles. There is a REALLY funny story that i have about this song, but i dont think its public blog appropriate. so um ask me about it sometime. All im going to say is it involves the line "I feel the earth." Im such a tease haha. But really.... this song is beautiful. It almost wins the gold star. This one gets my eyes a little misty if i listen to it on repeat. Best line?
